Blackpool is a seaside town on the North West coast of England. Apart from
having the best fish and chips (in my opinion!), it is most well known for the
illuminations and the impressive Blackpool Tower. I wanted to take a picture
of the tower as a momento of Blackpool to show my friends.
I took the picture Fig. A by going onto the pier and looking across the beach
towards the tower. You can see just how big the tower is rising above the
buildings and the people on the beach.
The picture was fine as a record of the trip but I wanted to try something a
little different!
In the picture Fig. B I stood at the bottom of the building and pointed the camera
up towards the top of the tower. I think this picture is much more dramatic and
gives you a real feeling of the size and scale of the tower. Again notice how it
appears to go smaller the further away from the camera it gets!
Remember to change your perspective and take more than one picture!
