Ok so now you know a little bit about viewpoints take a look at Fig. A and Fig. B
and see if you can tell which viewpoints they have!
Fig. A was taken in Luxembourg standing at a point in the town where we could
look down at other parts of the town. That means that this photograph has a
HIGH viewpoint as we are above looking down.
Fig. B was taken in downtown Atlanta Georgia in the USA. Here we can see the
edges of the very tall buildings stretching high up into the sky getting smaller
the further away from us they get. So that means this photograph must have a
LOW viewpoint as we are low down looking up!
A picture with a low viewpoint usually (but not always) looks more striking and
dynamic as it gives the subject size and power. Where as a high viewpoint is
great for showing a lot of objects across a wide area just like in an aerial
photograph of a town or city.
